The first impression: Bet Play is a foreign operator without a Belgian licence. For that reason, this is correctly executed, without frills.

What you play on

Bet Play operates outside the Belgian licensing system and therefore shows a wider catalogue than a B+ hall may: from classic slots to live game shows and crash. Without a licence, EPIS and the statutory deposit limit go too.

Typically Belgian are the dice games: open The Pearl, Infinity Dice, Gold Spinner, no other country knows this category in this shape.

Is this legal in Belgium?

Bet Play does not appear in the Belgian licence register. On the black list of more than 900 domains sits betplay as well.

Without a licence there is no EPIS and no mandatory weekly ceiling. Decide your maximum in advance, because the law will not.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The Belgian legislator approaches player protection more firmly than players tend to expect with concrete consequences for your account. On any licensed site the weekly limit defaults to €200.

Exclusion runs centrally through the EPIS register: one registration excludes you at once from every licensed operator, online and on-site. The request goes through the regulator itself. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; lottery products are the exception at 18. Without valid ID you do not get through.

Opening and verifying an account

The start is recognisable at every operator: real name, date of birth and an identity check before the first withdrawal. Expect an ID document plus proof of address. Depositing under a name other than the account holder's causes delay.

Dutch or French is not guaranteed, and complaining to the Commission is not an option. Archive what you receive about deposits and withdrawals; they are your only foothold if things go wrong.

Short answers to recurring questions

A bonus is only worth something once you convert the wagering into euros. The validity window is often shorter than you expect. Bonus money and own money are often counted separately.

No. Bet Play holds no Belgian licence and appears on the Gaming Commission's black list. Status can change; re-check the list if in doubt. The regulator keeps both lists current.

By filing an EPIS request with the regulator; it applies at once across the licensed landscape. Relatives can, in certain cases, file a request. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it.

You must be 21. Younger is only allowed at the National Lottery. This is verified at registration. Without valid ID you do not get through.

Yes. Bancontact and Bancontact Pay are the standard deposit methods; withdrawals go by bank transfer. A different name on the account blocks the payout. Turnaround depends mostly on the operator, not on Bancontact.

Yes, €200 per week per site — unless you set a lower cap yourself. A lower limit is active immediately. The limit applies per site, not across all sites.
